Is One UAE eVisa Valid for Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and All Emirates?

Overview

Yes. A UAE e-Tourist visa is valid for the entire United Arab Emirates. You can use it to enter and travel to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah. You do not need separate visas for each emirate. One eVisa covers the whole country for the validity and stay period shown on your approval.

One Visa for the Whole UAE

The UAE is one country made up of seven emirates. The e-Tourist visa we help you apply for is issued by the UAE federal immigration system and is valid for the whole UAE. So the same eVisa works whether you land in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or any other emirate, and whether you stay in one city or travel between them.

Where You Can Enter

You can use your eVisa to enter the UAE through any authorised port of entry, including:

  • Airports – e.g. Dubai (DXB), Abu Dhabi (AUH), Sharjah (SHJ), and other international airports in the UAE.
  • Land and sea – If the border post allows eVisas (some do). Check current rules for the border you plan to use.

You do not need a different visa for Dubai than for Abu Dhabi. One eVisa, one entry (or multiple entries if you have a multiple-entry visa), for the whole UAE.

Moving Between Emirates

You can travel freely between the emirates on the same eVisa. There are no internal border checks. So you can fly into Dubai, then go to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, or any other emirate without applying for another visa. Just keep your printed eVisa and passport with you when you travel.

Single vs Multiple Entry

  • Single entry – You may enter the UAE once. After that one entry, you can move between emirates as you like until your stay period ends. If you leave the UAE (e.g. to another country), you need a new visa to re-enter.
  • Multiple entry – You may enter and leave the UAE more than once within the visa’s validity period. Each time you can enter through any emirate and travel anywhere in the UAE.

So “one visa for all emirates” applies to both single- and multiple-entry eVisas; the only difference is how many times you can enter the country.
